I fucking loved Gone Girl. When the credits started rolling I had to collect my jaw from the floor. If Rosamund Pike doesn't win the best actress Oscar I will kick Ser Pounce!
Not at all what Iexpected. The whole movie centers around the question: who killed/abducted
Nick's wife? Then you get an answer and the rest of the film is just crazy. Good movie.
Well, you all saying this movie is nuts and it is perfectly reasonable to me! I liked it very very much. Things get out of hands here and there but hey is the only way you can be realistic about marriage, you need to be completely crazy. I`m right there with ya Fincher. Even if you ask, I won´t marry you. "Is not about what I want anymore", ugh lol, that´s marriage to me.
The only thing that found a bit boring is how this guy always use an
Spoiler
unreliable narrator
, as he did in The fight club. It kinda tells you what´s going on but didn´t really bother me at all. It was fun. And yes, Rosamund Pike is gold here. Pure gold.

It cut off right where she hits the car in the driveway and falls in his arms theatrically. And he's "all shocked and happy" because of all the people standing around but then he says into her ear as she fainted (?) something like "you bitch"So I have no idea if anyone believes her story. I know HE and his sister don't. Probably his lawyer. But does she get caught? I mean look how she killed that guy. There were cameras all over his house and she only stages one single scene where "she's tied" so I assume that's what her angle is (kidnapped by psycho highschool boyfriend). But I think she might have some ace in the sleeve cause she's definitely smart enough.
EDIT: For the record, I DO want to know because I'm not paying for a rental just to see 5 more min or whatever it is left. Cannot be more than 10 because I looked at how long it was so far.

You are right, the movie ended 10 minutes later. Basically she gives a statement to the police, the female detective knows that she is hiding something but can't do anything about it. Nick meets with his lawyer and he tells him also there is nothing they can do. Amy tells Nick that she is pregnant, but he is not certain the baby is his. They decide to keep pretending their reunion is genuine in front of the media, they get interviewed at the house and Nick proudly smiles to the camera and announces they are expecting a baby.
The film ends with the same opening shot of Nick caressing Amy's head, wondering what secrets she holds inside.

Personally, I would have preferred if the movie ended with her driving away in her car. All in all, I loved this movie, but the entire second part felt like a completely different animal.
