Omg I forgot to comment about the finale! I thought I'm going to bust a vein I was so upset. Poor Jaime. And fuck Blackjack. I hope he's so dead the door that fell on him is alive compared to how dead he is I thought those prison rape/torture scenes were some very long ones. Very long. I get they wanted to show it, rather than Jaime to tell about it, but boy it was tough watching them.
And since you mentioned the books. I was telling Arthur that I couldn't believe Diana wrote all of that so I went and read the chapter where Jaime talks about it. It was so well written! She really nailed it. If I say it's better than the show, don't call me purist, eh?! I think even the accidental reveal was perfect (the guy who accidentally touches Jaime's bum and so the whole thing comes out in the open), then Claire talking to Jaime about it and she upset he's a "freaking" John Wayne when she's caring for his broken limbs! I liked it. However, from what I gather book Blackjack is really administering more beating than the show put on, so I suppose I'm grateful about them not doing that agian.
Season 2, woo hoo! First half (Episode 1) I could have done without. Cried through half of it, ugh . Second half was like tears of joy :sigh: @TW, read the books, ken you'll love 'em well

When I'm going to grow up, I will search for and marry Frank Randall, I will hump him every day and twice on Sunday and I will bear all his children Don't any one look at me right now. I KNOW he's a fictional character!

I read that! it was all him in season 1. I really really think Tobias was amazing this ep. And everyone else too but he got some truly good material to work with and he nailed every tear, every word, every feeling. I can't believe how much I like this actor and his work. Every single role. And on another note: that French Count from the port with the ship that got burnt for smallpox, that guy spells T.R.O.U.B.L.E. I just hope no one is getting raped anymore
Nooooooooooo! You hurt me Yvy B!!! Just kidding. I honestly think everyone is cast perfectly. Sam and Catriona too. It was a shock when Ly told me this is her first acting role to be honest. Well done!
I loved Jamie's reaction to it lol. The Duke of Sandringham, is he a or what? However the actor is fantastic. Loved my in 4 Weddings and a Funeral and a Room with a View. Murtah going after the open dress,

I just saw it! Holy shit Murtagh! He hates the French. Paris smells like King's Landing and yes, he sure couldn't take his eyes of the dress though. The bare honeypot that was super funny. Daring woman Clare Frasier. But all the fun taken out by the duke of Sandringham He positively RELISHED telling her that his secretary was Blackjack's younger brother. I cannot believe it. At least they made a friend in the Deverney.
Ha ha ha! I've just watched . . . And can I say , I eat porridge every morning!
My overall feeling so far though , is the great feeling of romance is gone for me . . I know , because of storyline it will be hard for them to connect , I was hoping the naked honeypot was going to do it but sadly no 😢
Of course I will keep watching . . Why does Clair know Mary 's name ?
Never ate porridge but now I will! I did wonder what that is. Some kind of oatmeal? Must google. I guess the French king and I have something in common
EDIT: TW YOU ARE A GENIUS! (no, no really. But guessed it!)

Ha ha it's THE Scottish breakfast . I have mine made with milk and honey , handful of sunflower and pumpkin seeds sprinkled with cinamon. But I believe traditionally it's water and salt !
Just finished seeing it, and man.... YvyB I could have swore I knew her Thanks. LOL at the urine testing but I was so pleased she got to do her medicine woman thingy She was feeling completely useless and got so excited about lancing two boils, and tasting urine I don't know what to think about her not telling Jaime about Blackjack. I mean I understand her because sure enough Jaime will probably want revenge, but if she doesn't tell him... then he'll be even MORE pissed. At her. When he eventually does find out. Will see what happens.
I thought Episode 3 was ho-hum. Nice to see Murtah getting some trim Just felt like a filler episode to me.

It is scary to think a bit of the choice Claire has, no?! I mean if she tries to save the little mousy lady from marrying Blackjack (because she knows who he really is) then she won't have Frank yet if she doesn't try to stop/or stop the marriage, that little girl will get raped in all kinds of ways I think... I cannot imagine she's not thinking about this.

Well, at least that dinner wasn't a dull affair. Is Saint Germain really that bad I wonder?! Claire can though hold her how with the Comte, threatening him right back "perhaps you should wear one" - speaking of poison warning stones I can't believe what happened to poor Mary Hawkins. How will this affect her marrying a Randall though?!
Yvy! I almost pissed myself when I saw him I mean compared to him the villain of the second season is like a soft vanilla icecream. I didn't expect to see Blackjack at Versaille either, though I probably should have considering his brother was in trouble. But boy WHAT A SCENE! I saw it twice. I mean Jaime and Jack talking to each other with all the subtle undertones about the "sheep/cattle" incident while not even looking at one another but at the French king Even the king could tell there was something wrong! I did like the back and forth something fierce. Also how Claire went all Hound on Jack "Fuck the King!"
Wasn't it fantastic ? And the king tricking him into kneeling ! Then them all laughing at him . . Aha ha ha ha aa! Oh but he's not going to forgive Claire in a hurry . . I also can't believe the implications to poor little Mary . . She will have to have this child with Randal! Wtf Clair you're selling her soul for Frank ? Bitch please ! Poor little mouse 😢
Isn't it strange?! So she is ok with this girl being probably raped by Blackjack or abused by that monster and intervenes to split up Alex and the Miss Hawkins when she could have stepped up and stop it. But then she knows at least something good came out of that union. Frank. I think hers is a very controversial decision. Because she would wipe out a whole branch out of that family. She WOULD change the future. And she's ok with not interfering . But she does want to stop a revolution. Who knows what consequences that may have, no? I mean on the surface of things stopping a slaughter is good but not stopping a rape. Cause you can bet Mary is not going to have it easy in that marriage. Am I overthinking this? Is it an easier way to look at these interferences? I did not think too much in the beginning of the season about their mission to Paris, but now that something like this happens... Makes me really torn about Claire and her Interferences.

These are my thoughts exactly . I can't see where Jamie and Clair are heading now . . And as for stopping the Jacobite rebellion. . Heck, I may not even be born ! 😂
I will venture a wild guess IvyB that Claire won't change the Jacobite rebellion's outcome I must say this topic was interesting because I started to think of what would I change if someone gave me a time machine. Turns out if I consider losing some amazing things and experiences I did and do have in my life, I wouldn't go back to change anything even for all the shit that I COULD to better in retrospect. Just random thought. Maybe it is better we don't even have the possibility No Backsies.
:applause: YvyB! I can't believe how amazing it came out. And you still draw, I haven't seen you post anything in a long while Hai you know what we like. I approve
Thanks TW !! First one in about 2 years . . I've touched up a couple of places and this one's for Sis so it has to be right . . Dammit I can't make it small enough 😂
I've ended up emailing the finished one to her . I couldnt re size it for here . Yes, seen this week's just gone and I ve read a massive spoiler by accident !!
You know, I PMed her she's usually around in the mornings. Probably busy with her peeps, partying or doing exciting things.
I won't spoil it for you Yvy but the ending is pretty interesting. Makes me think that MAYBE Frank only THINKS he's Blackjacks descendant. I wish my theory would be true.
Sorry to be a stranger ladies! So, yep, if you have seen the most current episode, there are fantastic things that happen and things that really suck, much like GOT, yes? Thankfully, with far fewer characters. Love Murtah, "If she was a witch all this time why din ya jes say so?" Yes, the girl is raped and in the book Claire almost is herself. Isn't Fergus a cutie? All that hair. Looks like 's kid! There will be a couple of new characters this season as well, which will be cool. SisY, it is fantastic, I love it! Way better than a lot of stuff I have seen on-line.

Ok this I found today. I found it super funny because Martin never said anything remotely similar but I bet ther must have been a few instances where his mind went like: they totally screwed this one.
It also made me wonder what could it possibly be. I mean with all the hot button topics this show has touched on Diana was always supportive. Yes I read her FB page and she's speaking only in high terms and promoting the show pretty well. So color me curious.
Ly maybe you will know!

Um, could be a couple of things. The series is not as "religious" as the books and Diana always says she understands that but it makes her kinda sad. That knocking over the Mary statue, I don't remember that in the books. I think they added the part of the placenta still in there, in the books, she simply had an infection/fever/hallucinating even. Saddest part of the whole series for me. My Red Wedding of Outlander. I don't think she means that the books have gone off like D&D have, not in the least.

Okay ladies I'm not sure if I'm caught up with you . My last episode was Faith .
What an episode . I'm still stunned by how they handled this very painful subject (for a lot of woman ) and it was brilliant!! I went through everything she did and it was beautifully scripted , shot and performed.
The scene with Randal was my "oh fuck no! " moment and I loved the poison stand off.
I laughed out loud at the Princes 3 thrust sex and shouted "take the orange " !! And she did 😂 the final scenes were deeply moving and finally they're heading back to Scotland !!!! Also very confused on first scene 1954 ? And where was Murtagh?
Total WTF moment YvyB. I was so shocked when I saw Blackjack. And nothing good ever came from seeing Jack Randall on screen poor boy. Seriously. Someone needs to kill Jack and quick or we'll have broken people and children enough for the next 50 years. I am happy Claire knows the day of his death. I hope it's soon. The loss of the baby girl was so well acted indeed. Punched me in the neck when I heard Louise coming in and then Claire cry. I understand there is a hiatus now so I'm not sure when we get the next ep. And I think you're inspired YvyB! Keep it going!
