It is a Mary who's bold! Or maybe a Mary who's merry and bold. Definitely a bold. Maybe a merry too. It's the priest Meribald. (that is a priest who's bald but not to merry, it's all very complicated ) A septon who Brienne meets on her search for Sansa and has a pretty good speech about the ravages of war.
Late to the party as usual: http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2015/08/ian-mcshane-cast-in-game-of-thrones-season-six.html

Some folks think he might play the Mad King in a flashback, hey, that might be cool also!
Going to go waaaay out on a limb here but I would love him to be Howland Reed

How come I didn't get to comment in this thread? First Ian McShane, and now Max Von Sydow. This cast gets more and more insane by the day. I have nothing more to add, just gonna sit here and silently worship D&D Hehe, just to spite Japs.

Macha !!! FFS I haven't spoken to you in forever!
I would LURRRVE Ian to be Mad king but I'm terrified they cast him as Euron !!!!!
I heard he was really good in Pillars of the Earth as a priest, got to see that one.
It was shit but good at the same time ?
It was shit. He was good.
Yeah, it was really disappointing, overall (I do agree McShane was good). Pillars is probably in my top 20 favorite books of all time, though, so I'm not exactly objective.

YES, Don! they did cast Lyanna. Now I'm curious if they cast a mid 20 one. If they do then sure looks like some books scene is going to get in. I mean whole, not revised or half of it. Poor Bran He's stuck as a tree, but I doubt it will be for long. Doesn't make for good TV. Plus what would Meera be doing if Bran's just a tree?!
I am so sorry Don! Didn't mean to get your hopes up! It was a mistake. The post I'm looking at right now at WotW, that I thought had a very young Lyanna casting call, has 3 boys listed. I messed up. *Shame! Shame! Shame!* (we really need a smiley for that!)
Yeah, I think he is the young Ned, Bran sees in his weirwood visions, doesn't young Lyanna appear in those also?
I don't remember, Donal. Given the rest of the casting calls, while I know some think Robert is one of them, I don't. Sure, they could deviate from this, but I don't think Robert and Ned even met until they were at the Eryrie. I think the large child is Hodor.

Did Atreyu tell you I had an orgasm in chat when he posted the latest video about this?
Haha I don't doubt it. The message on WOTW dropping around the same time as Finn Jones' interview about his "favorite character" pretty much sums it up. I always wanted this fight in the books. Is this the famed gravekeeper?
He was with BriPod for a while in the books, a pretty fun character overall. He had that speech Don linked which was one of the best written scenes in AFFC.
Yaas!
He also had a dog with him (not to be confused with Sandor ).

Not a baby and a big guy I think. I´m still amazed at this show´s cast. This danish actor is just great. Saw it in danish show Borgen and a couple of movies but I remember him most of all from Kapringen (A hijacking).
