Yeah, I couldn't figure out any of it. Someone said "TOJ" on Facebook. I couldn't even see that.
I had to look for it too, at the 1:00 mark we see Young Ned and his buds arming up, and at the 1:16 mark we see that same group fight Targaryen ( ) soldiers. So peeps think those are the Targ guards at the tower of joy.

Rhaegar, despite wounding Robert, was struck down with a massive blow from Robert's warhammer, which scattered the rubies encrusted in Rhaegar's armor under the water. Rhaegar died with Lyanna Stark's name on his lips.
No Dorne, hmmm, with the return of many storylines ( Bran, Ironborn) something had to be pushed aside. I just hope we would get some more Doran, he was criminally underused last season.

Yep, not one Dorne sequence. But it looks like Euron is on a bridge, on a dark and stormy night no less! They cut the middle man and we're getting the off book death.
The only thing worth anything in the books was Doran and HBO fucked it up. Oh well, so it goes.
You should have skipped the chapters then! It would have saved me a lot of reading "fuck Dorne" that's for sure
HBO cast Siddig and for two or three scenes he was in, he was worth every penny. And I think Indira Varma did have potential but gosh, I am afraid she's nowhere to be found now. HBO didn't fuck it up. There was no way you'd have liked it regardless of what they would have adapted, since you hated book Dorne. I can't believe I'm defending HBO!
Trailer is great. And reveals a few things too. Spoilers obviously!
Spoiler
1. Brienne saves Sansa from Bolton pursuers (my guess is that this happens really early on, perhaps even in the premiere). Which also means they get together. BriPod probably helps them get to somewhere presumably safe (Castle Black??), after which they split up again and Brienne heads for Riverrun. It's possible Sansa takes on the role of Stoneheart in sending Brienne after Jaime, it just makes sense all around.
2. Yara a lesbian? Doesn't the place seem a bit sunny for the Iron Islands, though? Could she be in Essos replacing Victarion? I thought that storyline would be cut entirely, or Euron would go himself. Which I guess is still possible. And Euron kills Balon himself? Now that's nice (though having a Faceless man do it could have bridged to Arya's storyline, which is atm entirely secluded). I think the Iron Islands will be more successful an attempt than Dorne. Euron is slotting up to replace Ramsay, just like Ramsay replaced Joffrey way back when.
3. Dany's storyline will be great this time, I think. She pretty much loses everything that gives her power (her dragons, her army, her money, even her good looks are kinda messed up), so it'll be cool to see how she handles it. It's surprising to see she's just a random slave to the Dothraki, honestly.
4. Cersei will kick some much deserving ass apparently. Good for her.

I have hopes for Dany, getting her out of the city was good. But I hope its not a rethread of her S1 storyline, and what happened to Drogon? Did he just let her get abducted by the Dothraki?

Jent! Yara as a Vic never would have thought of it. I could not even recognize her to be honest. And you mentioned Bri possibly saving Sansa which was always a possibility even in S5. But it is weird Theon would not be with them. In the clip I thought I could see someone chasing Theon or better yet Theon running away from someone... Tricksy the trailer is.
Theon is definitely with Sansa in the snow, running away from something in the same set/scene as Brienne fights Bolton soldiers. So they'll cross paths for sure.
Seven hells! I was looking closely and stopped the trailer when Theon is in the snow there are two dogs in it held by what it looks like a guy with a helmet and armor resembling the one Bri kills! It just has to be the same sequence. So we got Sansa and Theon helped by Bri against Ramsay and his bitches. I need to watch it again. Too much stuff...
LOL Ry. You have a very very good eyesight! Or better yet a good imagination I do wonder when she's going to unleash her fury. That scene has to be somewhere in the beginning. I can't imagine they'll keep it until the end of the season or anything like that. Considering Thoros I'd have thought a simple kiss would suffice!
OMG YES! I forgot to mention the dual thingy! YvyB you're a genius I don't know if he's Sir Arthur Dayne But I will say this. It's in the style of Dimacherus and it is something I've missed since Gannicus! Gannicus! Gannicus! Fitting that my 2000 post goes to #SerArthurDayne and #Gannicus. I can't believe it. I am going to stop here for a while and enjoy my magic no with my GotA and ASoIaF. I am going to be dreaming a sandwich tonight!

If they are gonna use Bran to fill in with lots of flashbacks to awesome times in the past of Westeros...so much awesomeness.
Last part with Bran turning around to see NK :mindblown: how would he though?! will he warg a raven? will a warged Summer reach NK's army since they are both north of the Wall? What about weirwood trees? Maybe NK will be around one. That is probably the only scene it's a complete surprise to me.
I was hoping he won't stay in the weirwood tree long IvyB, and if he is then he still needs weirwood trees close to the NK. Can WW see him back you think? I hope the NK can see him back. Give him a freak out too besides what Jon did with that Valyrian steel.
I agree with Yvy, I think this is just their way of making him more mobile. Dunno if the Nk can see him back, but I don't think he needs a weirwood for this (and they'll probably skip this in the show altogether) but there was a quote in the books also that -forgot when this happens- he looked deep into the heart of winter and what saw there terrified him, or something like that.
You may be right Macha about skipping the weirwood tree thing. It takes a bit to establish how that works I suppose and it could work against them if they just want to have him travel through time and space at will. But I do hope the Night King has some magic powers himself and sees him!
Ok, so back to the shot of Tyrion in a dungeon. On the Tv show Rheagal and Viserion are still locked up. Methinks there is a scene where he goes and check them out for himself, and my hope is that he will try and undertand them better and maybe train them.

Well, it's been a slow start, but it seems like the
Spoiler
"Euron has no eye-patch"complaints are starting to ramp up. I know he's described as having one in the books, but on screen, at least to me, were he wearing an eye-patch, I'd be waiting for him to say, " ahoy, ye matey," or break into a rousing rendition of " A Pirate's Life for Me. " I do think a hint of blue on his lips could be cool, but the eye-patch...not for me.
